Properly fitting, weather appropriate clothing and shoes, haircuts if needed and the once over for any unwanted facial hair. Allow extra time before appointment to get everyone ready, rested and properly fed.  Plan a fun event for after photo shoot as a reward.  Have favorite snacks ready in case a little motivation is needed or hunger arises during photo shoot, be mindful of messy factor.  Bring a favorite toy or lovey for little ones or anyone!  Most people arrive at the appointment a little stressed, it is totally normal to feel this way.  It is hard to herd kitty cats, teenagers and most other humans.   As much as you can, enjoy the process!  If someone is sick or if it is a “horrible, no good, very bad day” let’s reschedule.  I am very flexible.  I want the experience to be a positive family memory! If you need clothing inspiration, Pinterest is the greatest resource.  Just search family portrait outfits.  I am also happy to discuss.

When we schedule, we will choose the time that is best with baby’s schedule.  We schedule for an hour but we allow for all the time the baby needs (feeding, changing , etc.) there is no rush!
